ABZU DENUVO OFFLINEIf your internet drops without preparing for offline beforehand you can't play your Denuvo crapware.Requiring an internet connection for offline single-player games is anti-consumer. Sure lots of people have internet connections, but not everyone does. Denuvo makes it difficult or impossible to play games without some form of internet connection. Some people don't believe this, so here's proof: This is from a user that left it in offline mode for a week or so and didn't play it. They don't require always online, but they do require sometimes online. Denuvo games require reactivation if you haven't played them in a while.Supporting the ability of platforms to disable your entire game library is anti-consumer. Steam support is notoriously slow to respond so your account may be disabled for weeks or months. If you have a problem with your payment method on a later game purchase, your account will be disabled blocking all your Denuvo games from working. What happens in 5 years when the devs have moved on to other things and the payload servers shutdown? Or they go out of business or are bought by another company? They aren't going to continue supporting and fixing the Denuvo technology, and the gamers are going to be the ones left holding an empty bag that used to be ABZU. I would urge the developers to reconsider using this technology. Every purchase of ABZU goes toward supporting Denuvo and its proliferation in other video games. They have spent thousands of dollars in licensing fees to encumber their game with anti-consumer technology. There is no reason for ABZU to use the strongest, most anti-consumer copy protection on the market. Witcher 3, No Man's Sky, Telltale's Games, Stardew Valley, Starbound, Terraria, Factorio, Shadowrun Hong Kong, and Kerbal Space Program don't just not have Denuvo, they are also available completely DRM-free.
